God Remains

I debated on whether I wanted to share this on my blog for many days. I am a private person but I also thrive on using my experiences to help others. After much prayer I have decided to share some of my experience over the last month in hopes it will help someone else.
August 31, 2014 was the beginning of a whirlwind that is still spinning. This was the day my husband and I took my Dad to the ER and found out he had double pneumonia. We lost my Dad September 10. It was the hardest day I have gone through in this life. My Dad will forever be in my memory and forever run through my veins. I will never know another man like him. The love of a daughter and her Daddy is something that can never be replaced. I think of him everyday and realize this is something you never get over but you learn to live with. The loss is something I carry with me always but with God helping me every step I know I can walk with a lighter load.
Two days after returning to Nashville from my Dads memorial I found out there was a possibility I have ovarian cancer and could not birth children. The loss of the possibility of having children very quickly turned into  the need to heal my body. The Doctor told me I needed immediate surgery. I had my surgery 7 days later, finding out it was indeed ovarian cancer and I have Chemotherapy ahead. I do not know what the future holds for me but I do know that God will be with me. God is giving me a peace in the middle of this whirlwind around me. My Dad taught me to be strong and I am going to use all that strength to get through this bump in the road. Everyday God shows me little signs of his presence.

OMG Memarie, I am so saddened by what had happened to your dad passing and now hearing about you having ovarian cancer. Remember the will of God will never take you to where the grace of God will not protect you. I am praying for your full recovery and for your family. Dear Gracious Father in Heaven, grant those we love good health in every aspect of their lives. Restore physical health to those weakened with illness, peace to those troubled with worry, and comfort those discouraged with problems. Help us find through our faith and trust in You and our love for one another, the courage to overcome any health challenges we face now and in the future. In our Lord Jesus Christ’s name, Amen. God bless you always Memarie, you are loved.

Memarie, Bless your heart. I'm sorry about the loss of you father. Having a sixteen year old daughter myself helps me understand the bond. A fathers relationship with his daughter is very special. I'm also sorry about your ovarian cancer. God is always good and he is always with his children. Press into Him for comfort and guidance and lean on Him always. Find His glory in this moment as He adds to your story. I will be praying for you. God Bless You!
